Global Diaspora Week 2015

October 24, 2015

In commemoration of IDEA’s 2015 Global Diaspora Week, Heritage Africa hosted a discussion forum for the African Diaspora community in Washington D.C at the historic Thurgood Marshall Center Trust.  The forum brought together members of the Diaspora and friends of the Diaspora from different countries and different professional backgrounds to discuss the challenge of unemployment in Africa. Speakers from OIC International, Ms. Jasmine Lataillard, and the Malku Institute of Technology, Ms. Sharon Brown and Heritage Africa Founding Chair and forum moderator, Dr. Nwadiuto Esiobu each provided insight into the cause and context of unemployment and current solutions for change such as entrepreneurship.
